WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE A HOPE AND A FUTURE?

As an orphan on the streets of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Fka would have to carry milk for people in the market. At night, his home constantly changed as he searched for a spot where he could find safety. The traumas of street life are haunting - and can take a lifetime to heal from.

Fka had the courage and strength of character to join one of our partners and come out of street life. He was cared for, invested in and educated. Fka is gifted in critial thinking and understanding history and political science. Today, he is preparing for university, after completing upper-level school in Ethiopia, and graduating high school with honors as an exchange student in the US. The future is wide open for Fka. He will study government and political science and wants to give back to his people in Ethiopia and serve them as a leader. He was once lost and is now found. He has been healed and in many ways is still healing He has a great hope and a future!
